HSMTMTS S2 What We Know: The Plot #2

Hello!

We do have a couple of sneak-peeks on the plot that the cast and crew gave.

Before reading this will have spoilers on S2, so if you would like to go into the next season on an open mind then DO NOT READ.

I'd also recommend reading my first post, "HSMTMTS S2 What We Know: The Characters". It will help you better understand what I'm talking about here. 

Before we start we already know some basics. This semester the school play will be 'Beauty and the Beast'. It will also consist of 12 episodes, coming out weekly. There isn't any news on the amount of minutes the episodes are, but we do have the titles for the first 3 episodes. Episode 1 is titled New Years' Eve, Episode 2 is Typecasting, and Episode 3 is Valentines Day. All original cast members are returning as well. It will come out on May 14th this year. Finally, there will be music from HSM 2, Beauty and the Beast, and originals by the cast! Gina and Ricky will also be focused in S2. 

We also have cliffhangers we were left on. 

- Ms. Jenn and Mr. Mazzara were confronted on the fire by the principal of East High

- Gina was asked by Ashlynn to stay at her house for the remaining of the semester, there isn't any news on saying yes. 

- Nini was accepted into the Youth Actors Conservatory, there isn't any news on Nini declining or accepting the offer.

And we figured out that:

- Big Red and Ashlynn are together. (This was in the end credits on ep.10 so check that out)

We also have some information from the 'Something In The Air' music video. (It is available on YouTube, I also believe that it will be the debut song as well)

- Gina is in the video, so she is still at East High for the remaining of the 1st semester.

- The East High Theatre is being rebuilt.

- They have an Instagram page, it may become a focus in the show.

There were 7 videos for a starter on S2, only 5 of them were connected and featured what was happening at East High. (It is available on YouTube and Instagram and it is called 'After the Musical' on YT, and on Instagram you can go to the HSMTMTS official account)

- Nini still hasn't told Ricky about the conservatory and doesn't know if she wants to go, she has told Kourtney however

- Big Red doesn't know what to do in his relationship with Ashlynn and is flustered

- Gina still doesn't know if she is going to stay but she plans to make the decision the day that the video calls are held (the after day of the musical) 

- Ashlynn, Carlos, Seb, and E.J are creating a party of Gina (a welcome home party)

- Gina pays back E.J for the plane ticket

There is information in the Holiday Special about some of Nini and Ricky's plotline in the first episode. It is Christmas time but Ricky cannot afford a Christmas present for Nini. So he creates a song tilted "Perfect Gift", available on music platforms. There isn't a music video yet for it however that is him singing in the show, but there is one where Joshua Bassett sings in the Holiday Special. So the first episode will be focusing on the Christmas/New Years time. 

They recently updated the shows detail page! 

This plotline here seems to be explained/summed up all in the first episode. Jack is the only revealed new cast member who doesn't have an explanation here, so he most likely will be coming in the later episodes.

This was the original synopsis: In season two, the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform Beauty and the Beast as their spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win a prestigious and cutthroat student theater competition. Wigs are snatched, loyalties are tested and ballads are belted."
